The Absent Voter Ballot Application (PDF) is a printable application. Complete the application and sign and date in the place so designated. Your signature must appear on the application or you will not receive an absent voter ballot.

Absent Voter Ballots are mailed to voters starting approximately one week after the close of registration for an election. The last day to apply for and receive an absentee ballot by mail is 2 p.m. on the Saturday preceding any election.
Permanent Absent Voter Request Form

The City Clerk's Office maintains a list of voters who are interested in receiving Absent Voter Ballot Applications prior to every election.  There are no requirements to be placed on the list, however, voters must meet at least one of the following criteria to receive a ballot:

  • 60 years of age or older
  • Physically unable to attend polls
  • Appointed as a Precinct worker
  • Absent from community on Election Day
  • Cannot attend polls because of tenets of my religion
  • Confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial
